Message Director KGS

Welcome to Karakoram Graduate School (KGS) established in 2019 under the umbrella of Karakoram International University, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The aim of this school is to provide opportunities for higher education to the community of GB and other regions.

The faculty members of KGS are graduates from very well-known universities around the world and possess domain-specific expertise in the relevant subjects. The qualified faculty is capable to produce graduates of high caliber who will serve as independent researchers, critical thinkers and policy planners to address problems and explore potential resources to utilize them for the benefit of the society.

  The teaching and learning at KGS is facilitated through interactive discussions and exposure to laboratory-based exercises. We believe in hard work, commitment and rigorous engagement of students in conducting research that really impacts the society and generate new knowledge. We promote practicing a research approach that is systematic, logical, empirical, applicable and ethical.

KGS has collaborations with other higher educational institutions both nationally and internationally to facilitate the students to conduct quality research. All our efforts are targeted to inculcate a culture of research to stimulate innovative ideas via teamwork to honor, serve, and provide excellent resources to our students. The outcomes are evident in terms of quality publications in high impact factor journals by faculty and KGS graduates and winning competitive research grants from national and international funding agencies (USAID, NRRPU HEC, PSF, ALP). Currently, Departments and faculty of KGS programs have more than 10 ongoing funding projects where students are involved in research and many of them are facilitated as Research Associates.
